Rotarians Ken Richuso and Phyllis Reich were joined by Cranford Rotarian, Vincent Spada from Spencer Savings Bank.

Thanks to Principal Dr. Mari Celi Sanchez for her hospitality! Plenty of smiles and "thank you's".

Mayor's State of the City Address Meeting
January 11, 2017

We were honored to have Mayor J. Christian Bollwage present his State of the City address at our meeting today.

The Mayor highlighted all of the great things happening in the City of Elizabeth with special recognition of the Rotary Club of Elizabeth and all of our contributions to the City of Elizabeth.

The Mayor is an Honorary member of the Elizabeth Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow.

We appreciate his support of our projects and fundraisers and we thank him for helping us kick off our 100th Anniversary year.
Weekly Meeting
January 4, 2017

January program Chairman Ken Richuso welcomes Linda Flores -Tober, Executive Director of the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless.

Linda was on hand to promote the Coalition's upcoming fundraiser, Hoops to End Homelessness. Our Club has a long history of supporting this event both financially as well as having a strong presence of volunteers from our Interact Club
The games will be on January 28th, 2017 at the Dunn Sports Center with this slate of games:

2:00 pm Elizabeth Police Department vs. Union County Sheriff's Officers

3:30 pm Elizabeth High School Girls vs. Hillside High School Girls

5:00 pm St. Mary's High School vs. Newark Central High School

6:45 pm Elizabeth High School vs. Plainfield High School
Tickets are $10 for adults & $5 for youth and can be purchased at theelizabethcoalition.eventbrite.com

Proceeds from the event will benefit Operation Warm Heart which provides winter shelter for the homeless, many of whom have no other alternative.
