A great August meeting today led by Rotarian Syed Naqvi.

Syed presented our Club’s donation to Michael Pittman of the Institute of Music for Children. The Institute provides classes in music, dance and theater to over 1000 children in the Greater Elizabeth area.

Our program was presented by members of Elizabeth Police Explorers Post 18. This is an extensive and rigorous program sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America for young people interested in a career in law enforcement.

In conjunction with the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless and St. Joseph Social Service Center, we helped by making sandwiches for the homeless. The sandwich making drive took place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Elizabeth Coalition.

Volunteers could choose to stay and help distribute a turkey & cheese sandwich and a peanut butter & jelly sandwich to each individual.
